1940 Chevy truck

We were fortunate to locate two really rare pre-war Chevrolet trucks.

This one is the 1940, and came without drivetrain or wheels, and lacks a title at the moment. The cab is very rust free, as are much of the remaining parts of the other bed and gate.

Now that we have it on the hoist, measurements can be taken.

This truck might be set onto a 3/4 ton 4×4 chassis, or we may place 4×4 components in the existing chassis, as long as we are not required to modify the original frame.
